Sweet Escape

I spent the weekend with Love. We had a staycation over at Wanderlust, one of Singapore's popular boutique hotels. 

I booked the loft suite which was space themed for us and i was not disappointed. 

Love was so excited about the interior of the suite that he actually brought an extra pair of clothes to have a mini photoshoot. 

And of course i had to participate. He asked me to wear his shirt for the mini photoshoot. I obliged since he looked really into the whole photoshoot session. Anything for him really. :) 

I find my stay at Wanderlust worth it even if for one night. We had free breakfast as well and Cocotte(sp?) had delicious food. Breakfast and the minibar in the suite were complimentary. I think because i booked an expensive room.

Wanderlust has a vintage feel to it and i would definitely recommend a stay. The whole hotel is themed. And there is a jacuzzi tucked away on the 2nd floor. I realized it only on the day i was to check out. What a waste. 

I am looking forward to more staycations in the future with love.

Azura's Big Day

After a decade of building a relationship together, they finally tied the knot. My girlfriend, Azura and her new hubby, Ibtisam aka Apit. 

And i am proud to say that i was one of the bridesmaids' who made their wedding ceremony run smoothly. 

Tiring as it was running behind the scenes. It was all worth it and i will do it four times over. 

There were some frustrating issues during the duration of the two day event but we pulled through anyhow cos making sure the wedding ran without a glitch was more important. 

Anyways, 

Here is a rundown if what went on during the weekend... 

Friday, 

We reached Azura's place at about noon. Did some last minute shopping and then helped her pack all her wedding favours. All 1000 boxes!  

I was forced to go to bed when Azura's mother found out i came straight over as soon as i knocked off from night shift. And i slept like a log they said. 

I did however manage to help pack half the wedding favours so my girls did not have that much to do. 

I mean 500 more boxes is a lot but at least i helped them reach the halfway mark. 

Saturday, 

Her solemnisation day. We had to wake up pretty early despite the late night we had previously. One thing was becausea make up artist was coming to do our make up. We were wearing matching outfits.

It was not that tiring cos we stayed only at the bride's side of the whole event. For the solemnisation, only the groom's side had to make the journey to come over to our side. 

It was the photoshoot after that tired us out. The photoshoot was taken at One Fullerton upon the bride's request. 

After the photoshoot we headed on home to get ready for Sunday's event. 

Sunday

After the previous two days of late nights and early mornings. I found myself to be a little bit lethargic on the day of the wedding celebrations itself. 

But pushed on, i did. I know my other girls were feeling tired as well. Lucky the last day was not so busy. Just that we had to be wherever the bride was. Helping the make up artist carry her stuff and making sure the wedding tan on schedule. 

Now that Azura is happily married, i wonder which one of us will be next. Though i have a feeling that it will be either Nadd or me.

I shall do a proper update of what went on during one of my girls' wedding that happened during the weekend. Since I was one of the bridesmaids and it was a three day event including the last minute packing of wedding related things. I am glad to say that i was not the only bridesmaid.

Hello Saturday

Tomorrow is my cousin's wedding. Still going to wear my white maxi dress despite the colour code being tiffany green or pink. I have none of those colours in my wardrobe. 

Going to leave earlier and spend some time with Love and my sister. 

Probably just going to hang around Northpoint area. 

Well this has been a rather short post. 

Quality time with Grandma

Had lunch with my dearest Grandma after i ended my cardio session at the gym. 

She is going off for her pilgrimage tomorrow and i will not be able to send her off 'cos by the time i end work she would have probably flown off to Medina. Night shift sucks sometimes. 

No, work basically sucks. 

As usual she thinks i am way too thin and insists that i eat as much as i can whenever i visit her. 

Going to miss listening to her reminisce about the good old days, back when she was younger. 

Hope she has a safe pilgrimage. 

March wedding weekends

Back to back weddings i have to attend over the next two weekends. 

My cousin's and my close girlfriend's wedding. 

I am looking forward, more, to my girl's wedding affair 'cos i am not that close with my relatives due to personal reasons. 

Cannot wait to don the bridesmaids' dress. :)) 

In other news. Heh 

The final result of our BTO application will be out within the next two weeks. I really do hope that we will get to select a unit so we do not have to wait too long. 

At least one less hurdle to go through. Currently we are planning for our wedding ceremony and that in itself is a stresser. Even if it is about two years later cos i do not do well under pressure. 

The next two years i will be doing a lot of hoping, praying and just being patient with whatever that will be thrown my way. 

Case of the stalker ex

So the boy told me that his ex-fiancee is stalking his facebook profile. 

Like seriously? 

That was the first thought that came to my mind. I mean it has been more than a year and that bitch is obviously regretting letting him go now. Too late for regrets, i say. 

And he found out about this through his elder brother. Who happens to be dating a friend of his ex. 

The world is too small sometimes. Heh. 

He told me that he is just going to let her stalk his profile. If that is going to make her happy, comparing herself to me then let her be. 

" What's a pretty face for when you have an ugly heart. " 

Sometimes the things he says makes my heart burst with more love than i thought possible. And here i thought i could not love my man more than i already have. 

As long as we are happy together, whatever anyone might have to say will never matter. 

He bought me a huge ass teddy bear as well just as a gesture to say that i deserve everything that he can give me and more. 

         

I have definitely found the one. 

My soulmate 

Fridate and decisions made

Skipped work just to spend time with my love. If not, i will not get to see him for the next 3 weeks at most because i have two weddings to attend during the next 2 weekends. 

So, 

Waited for him to end his height test and medical checkup. Result will be out within two weeks. In shaa Allah he will get the job. About time he changed job too. 

Met him at Bugis and we walked around that area for abit. Decided to have a meal at I Am Cafe but the kitchens' were not open during that time. I thinked we reached the cafe around noon-ish. 

So i decided to bring him to Pho for lunch. Luckily, it was located near by and i remembered how to get to the quaint restaurant. :) 

After lunch, we walked through Haji Lane. He bought a pair of 9Five shades from Sup. Happy with his purchase 'cos he needed a new pair of shades that badly. 

After i get my pay, i can finally do some shopping of my own. That is after i set aside some to my savings account. 

Then we headed over to Town, to try to purchase for ourselves an instax mini 8. Finally found one over at Lucky Plaza 

And he still bought a selfie stick as well 'cos the boy is impatient sometimes. 

Thereafter, 

We watched 300: Rise of an Empire. 

5/5. It is an awesome movie to watch. Narration and plot line was perfect for me. The action scenes just epic. Must watch. 

I feel that there will be a possibility of a sequel, maybe. 

Anyways, we ended our fridate after that. Took a cab home and we took our first polaroids. :)

Like a GoPro...

So everyone has bought a GoPro or raving about getting one. 

I agree that it is the most compact camera which is durable and comes with awesome accessories. 

However, if someone, who like me do not have the time to use it or even upload pics to edit when taken. It seems like a waste of money. 

So my dearest boyfriend bought a long handle tripod thingy majig like one of GoPro's accessories for my iPhone 5. 

So its like this one in the picture. 

Catch is we have to use timer when we wanna take selfies. Not as convenient as the GoPro where i can install an app on my phone to sort of remotely take picture without physically holding it. 

Well, you get where i'm going with this. 

It is just to prevent picture from turning out like this... 

And i am happy he got the rod thingy. Its not a GoPro but all is good. I would rather save up the money to buy something more worthwhile. 

Life is not always dictated by the material things you have but how you make do with the more simpler things in life. :) 

Hope for March

I really do hope March will be good to us. 

We had such a rather 'bleagh' February. 

Applying for another BTO Sale launch this month. 

His next interview is this coming Friday. I do hope that he passes that and can finally change jobs. 

A lot of hoping this month. 

Taking the next step to our relationship and our wedding plans has added a bit of pressure. 

Hope all goes well. 

Another late morning

Why can i never be early for morning shift. 

Late yet again. Even missed my morning prayers, yet again. Pfft. 

I think i need an exploding alarm clock or something. 

Fridate to end February :)

Had a wonderful fridate spend with Love. 

We visited the 2 Degree Ice Art Exhibition over at MBS. 

It was disappointing for me to say the least cos i thought the whole exhibition venue would be bigger but we spent less than half an hour total at the venue. 

The ice art was amazing but kinda small was the venue. The only fun thing to do there was go down the ice slides. All the hype i heard from the exhibition did not fall through for me. One thing for sure was the freezing temperature. My hands were numb and i did not manage to take a proper photo. 

After that we went to visit the IT Show which was going on across the street from the ice exhibition. That was another disappointment. Prices were the same and just too many people crammed in the event hall. 

And then it was dinner and the usual walkabout around town. My feet were so sore that Love actually made me buy sandals to replace my evil pumps. Heh.
