well anyways, met mother and father on the bus en route to Nyai's place, mak aku tk boleh dibawak rompak bank, her laughter alerted us before father and her could 'surprise' us. they sort of put their heads down so we wouldn't spot them when we boarded the bus. my parents are funny people. -_-'
so we arrived at our destination, got to catch the MTV Movie Awards. the Twilight team won ALOT of awards, no surprise really because they've garnered a very impressive fanbase.
let's skip to the NDP show,
like always the parade doesn't disappoint, there's always something new added. even if there isn't, its still worth while to watch. and since i'm watching it with my equally fun relatives - do not insert sarcastic face here - the parade got a whole lot funnier, and no we don't diss. there's usually a lot of 'what ifs' .
my favourite part of this years parade was at the starting where Mark Lee and Suhaimi Yusof kick started the special day in Singapore's history. this year they went alot further back in time, when Singapore was discovered by Sang Nila Utama, so i learned abit of my country's history.
" Your Highness. you ask me, i ask who? - Mark Lee.
there were other sentences i'd like to quote but i can't quite remember them. memory problem.
and so the parade and celebrations ended, my younger cousins said the pledge. they did it in an awfully cute manner.
then we had our ' National Day' dinner while watching Singapore Idol. we had our usual conversations in between eating and watching the telly. i absolutely love the jokes that my uncles made, hurt my stomach so bad with all the jokes.
and on a side note, i taught dear cousin Mischa the action that sister does, since i don't now when. it's called the, Do The Jamaican Wave. the way she does it is so adorable. and now i think she'll do it every time sister or me says, "Mischa, Do The Jamaican Wave!". she's cute i tell you. :)
Pak Busu, " Busu pun pakai susuk. susuk babi. "
my uncle said that when i was commenting about how seemingly strong our SM looked. i think i have a great sense of humour because i seem to laugh at every funny comment they make, no matter how straight a face they can maintain. or maybe i'm just a weirdo.
gaahs! who cares. i certainly don't.
