when that bass starts thumping, we start bumping!

Sara, babyboo and me went clubbing at Zouk yesterday night. it was after all a ladies night event and the perfect timing to go because i will be on night shift the following day. 

we had tremendous fun throughout the night. we got ourselves amped up first outside before entering. once we entered and heard the bass thumping we did our bumping on the dance floor. we started the dance floor cos when we came in every other clubber was milling around the perimeter of the dance floor. 

so we decided to just do it. 

cutting this blog post short, we had so much fun dancing together, though i was MIA for a moment cos i didn't know what compelled me to take a nap by the roadside till the others couldn't find me. guess i still do trip the same way when I'm drunk, even after 4 years staying sober. so far no sign of my insomnia creeping up on me. if it doesn't then alcohol isn't the trigger anymore and I'm no longer suffering from depression. i have been staying away from booze for 4 years just 'cause my psychiatrist told me to. 

the relapse was prolly due to me thinking too much. i feel all better now, as in less mentally disturbed. hehe. goodbye depression, you got a good 4 years of my life and now i'm breaking up with you. :) 

anyways, it is mosdef a night to remember.

random talks over hot chocolate

Met Khai yesterday after work. it was an awesome afternoon spent with her.

the meeting time was at 5pm but there is always some random event that will make her late, always. this time around she had a fight with a random malay guy while waiting for the train to meet me. after that all went smooth sailing for us, well as smooth as it can get when we're together.

we talked about almost anything and everything, bitched about anything and everything that caught our eyes. well the bitching came from me most of the time 'cos i'm always the one who happens to be the one who will see something worth bitching about.

well you won't understand what i'm talking about until you go on a date with us and just observe our interaction.

that's about it i guess, i have to get myself ready for night shift.

movie date and updates

caught this yesterday with Khai over at our usual spot. i won't comment on the movie just yet 'cos I'm waiting for the 2nd part to be released next July, i think. anywho, Doby the Elf was cute in the movie too bad it didn't get that much screen time.

anyways, Khai gave me an early birthday present and wished me happy 22nd instead of 21st. i actually didn't realise it until she told me 'cos i was touched that she got me a gift. coincidentally, it was the same body shop perfume i wanted to get for myself the day that i tried it last October when i went out with the boyfriend. i couldn't purchase it then 'cos i wanted to buy some stuff from our night safari trip. i swear she's psychic sometimes.

oh yeah, the name of the perfume is Japanese Cherry Blossom. it's uber nice smelling. i like.

other than that there's not much to update. work is work. life at home is as normal as it can get. looking forward to an intimate dinner with boyfriend and sister.

next month is another different story.

I suck.

I have pictures in my camera, i should give my camera a name soon, that i'm excited to post on facebook but i can't since my computer has a virus and my camera's memory card won't put pictures into my desktop nor my laptop.

Brother's birthday pictures and most recently yesterday's date with boyfriend at Night Safari for the Halloween Horrors event. I feel stupid now. Ugh!

Wonder when i will be able to upload the pictures. maybe too long that I'll forget that i have pictures to upload.

Anyways, Boyfriend says that we should go for the Halloween horrors event next year 'cos we had waaaayyyy tooo much fun. Him especially since he got to see me scare myself silly. He actually laughed when i screamed myself half to death in the haunted mansion. If only one 9f the actors didn't freak me out so much, i would have actually survived the haunted mansion, stupid hair flinging person. well at least i survived the Train of Terror ride. :)

The make up was damn realistic. all the other actors were not that scary 'cos i convinced myself there was nothing to be scared of in such a huge crowd but there was that one clown walking around with a "knife" and sneaking up on people. *shivers*

One thing left to say, I hate clowns 'cos they give me the phobes.

Date with the Minah Mengajar a.k.a Nuruz!

I had a fun time hanging out with my babygirl today. as usual we acted like complete idiots when we're together. always making way too much noise. always making too many unnecessary comments about the people and things around us. and talking about every conceivable thing we can imagine talking about.

i think it's been ages since we hung out together just the two of us. spazzing and whatnots.

it's kinda difficult to describe our day, you just have to be there and observe us. :D

anyways, way before all the spazzing and idiocy from the both of us. mother and me went out early in the morning, okay so not early, maybe around lunchtime, to go buy kain untuk baju raya this year. got it done in about one and a half hours. we're wearing light grey in different tones this year. oh, and brother got two more different colours. i'm a bit unhappy about that but nehmind, i'll buy my own kain once my pay comes in, i already have 2 different designs in mind and so i'll be buying 2 more different sets of kain.

do not mind the mix of malay words, i can't be bothered to blog in total english.

hello world, i'm back again. though i don't know when i'll be back blogging about my oh-so un-exciting life.

well anyways, i had a movie date with Khai. we watched Alice in Wonderland, in 3D! okay, ignore my excitement about watching Johnny Depp in 3D. it was my first time watching a movie in 3D. so, again, ignore my jakun-ism.

the movie itself was okay, the graphics were beautiful but in the end the plot just went dry. if it wasn't for Johnny Depp being n the movie i wouldn't have watched it, so yeah, i have this super big crush on him. now i'm sounding just a tad bit like a crazed fan girl.

i had major fun with Khai, we talked about almost everything. and we did alot of stupid stuff. and because of that, i'm totally excited to meet my girls this weekend.

by the way i watched Alice in Wonderland again with my siblings. not that great watching it w/o 3D. then we went to Popular to browse book titles. found a few titles and a few series of books to get my hands on with my next pay packet. I have this sudden need to read other vampire type books after and other than the Twilight Saga.

this is a heads up for those of you who want some other vampire related book to read other than the Twilight Saga, it's called the Hose of Night Series. i find it more believable than Twilight 'cos Twilight is more fantasy/romance based whereas the House of Night series to me is more realistic in a sense 'cos the way the authors included how it feels to be a teen and having supernatural powers like the main protagonist has.

I've read the first 6 books, in 5 days cos i'm a freak like that, and am waiting excitedly for the 7th book to be in stores.

so yeah, these are the books i'm talking about.

anyways, i do not know what to start with. i've had quite a busy weekend. and tomorrow i start work. i'm so bloody excited that i can't sleep. i should sleep since i'm starting work but i can't. don't know why i'm excited and i'm talking in bloody circles.

i guess i'll start with yesterday's outing with my cousins. i have pictures though they are not that good, i was hungry and lazy. i edited it halfheartedly too.

then there'll be today's events. got some pictures but they are badly edited too. i was tired and hungry. who wouldn't be? it is the fasting month. and usually around this time all Muslim families are rushing to decorate and furnish their houses with everything new. i'm proud to say that i did all by myself. the putting up of new curtains, the changing of the cushions, i did all by myself. i feel good. haha.

i went out to break fast with these two lovely ladies you see above. we broke our fast around Arab Street area, near Masjid Sultan. i had beef steak, tried western for a change. the food wasn't that good but i was hungry. what do i care, right? now i sound like a glutton.

i saw somethings i shouldn't even see during Ramadhan. i mean who the hell performs kuda kepang dance during Ramadhan. have you no respect for the holy month? doesn't matter if no one was possessed or that kind of shit, you just should know better. to think that it was performed near Masjid Sultan? plain stupid. i can't appreciate it 'cos i know it is wrong.

enough about that, here are before and after pictures of the curtains and a stupid, EMPTY beehive i found hanging in my parents' room. don't bees know how to demolish their old houses? okay, now i'm just being stupid. their just insects. *makesintellegiblenosies*

i'm feeling a lot happier but knowing my current sitch, i shouldn't be feeling that happy. well what to do, i'm weird that way. harhar.

anyways, Hari Raya is around the corner and i'm still without shoes. mother gave me a scare just now when she said that i'll not be able to get new shoes this year. my heart skipped a beat at that remark. mother sure knows how to stress me out. imagine me on the first day of Raya wearing slippers instead of heels. i swear i'll not want to go anywhere for the rest of the festivities.

sister has decided to buy sandals for this year's Raya, i'm still thinking about it, buying sandals instead of heels that is. it'd be weird since i've not been without heels to wear during Raya since i turned 15. maybe i should try out something new. see how that works out when i go shoe shopping next Friday.

the other event that's around the corner is Super Import Nights' 2009. i promised brother i would bring him to the exhibition again this year. he had fun at last year's exhibition. he has a fascination with cars and whatnot. while sister and me have fascinations over hot bikes. hopefully there'll be a few bikes at this year's exhibition like last year's. i'm still in love with the pink bike i saw last year.

so, financial wise, i'll have to save this month's salary for the shoe shopping session with mother and sister and for the S.I.N 2009 event.

so yesterday i went to break my fast with the Clique. i had fun, that's all i can say.
i'll admit i'm still a little bit fatigued even though i woke up late today. i wasn't even half awake for my morning meal. just had a cup of tea and went back to sleep. i was that tired.

anyways,
i just returned from CWP, printed all the necessary documents and bought some document files. i didn't realise i was in sucha rush 'cos i was done with everything in half an hour and there was a considerably long line at the printing place. it's scary sometimes when i'm on my single-minded focus mode. the things i can get done. *shivers*

Aki said that i should skip the marketing interview tomorrow. i'm not that sure yet. my confidence in not screwing up the ICA interview is quite high since father has been very vocal about his optimism in me getting the job. fingers crossed eh, since anything can happen.

maybe my parents have been praying so that i'm successful in getting a job, sooner or later.
let their prayers be answered i guess, i will get the job!

sheesh, now i'm sounding just a tad bit cocky.

i finally figured out how sister puts the photos up on her blog, not the camera photos but photos from her handphone and she didn't think it be nice to let me know. could have used the memory card adapter all along. i'm so dumb sometimes.

well anyways, the first picture is from my trip to the National Orchid Gardens few weeks back. tried using the macro function on the camera phone and i must say that it turned out pretty nice. well, pretty nice for someone who hasn't tried photography before.


girls, you may remember this picture from a previous post. Nala seemingly trying to teach me maths, lab maths and logarithm at that. i call her 'Princess' because she acts a bit spoiled sometimes. i guess she knows she's a pretty cat. it was the same for Baby, i still miss her though, Baby i mean. i think it's been a year or maybe less. Nala and Baby could have been very close if Baby were still around 'cos truthfully they are both very beautiful looking cats and boy, do they know it.


if Nala was trying to teach me maths then Fluffy is trying to help sister with her art. the cats surely know how to put a smile on my face.

another update

the previous post was absurdly incorrect. the clique gathering has been postponed to this Saturday. the venue is some makanplace in Dhoby Ghaut. i can bring along Moon unless he has already made other plans beforehand. hopefully he hasn't lah. have to confirm by tonight.

i think it's been ages since the Clique had a gathering, the last was in March, annual Clique picnic. so it has been a few months.

anyways, i have an interview on Thursday and another one on Monday. the interview on Monday will be the marketing one i missed since i had the misfortune to fall sick. *insertweirdsoundshere*

i guess i have to try and google info on marketing, again.

short update

there'll be a clique gathering tomorrow, so we can break our fast together. it's still in it's planning stages. but hopefully i and the rest of the girls can make it. the location maybe Geylang. though i wonder how we're going to get seats 'cos it's packed this time of year. only during Ramadhan will it be buzzing with activities. all the buying and selling. other months, it'll still be busy but not as frenetic as during the Ramadhan month.

well here's hoping for the plan to come to fruition and that there are available seats for dinner.

The National Orchid Garden

On the 10th of August, which was 3 days ago, i followed my Uncle's family to the Botanical Gardens for a picnic. My Nyai and aunt along with a few of my cousins tagged along. it was some sort of post National Day picnic.

anyways,
i went trigger happy with the camera when we proceeded to the National Orchid Garden which was situated in The Botanical Gardens itself. i may have caught mother's affliction, her sudden craziness over flower motifs. the orchids were just damn beautiful. i didn't pay attention to the orchids' different names and species 'cos i was trigger happy. hee

oh yeah,
that was my first time trying my hand at amateur photography. i hope the pictures turned out good. enjoy people.
