english roses

i'm certain now that mother has gone flower crazy, or in this instance english rose crazy at first i thought that she was just being funny when she said she will be decorating the house with rose motifs this coming Hari Raya. the curtains are done and they have this type of pattern, it's not exactly like the curtains but close enough.


mother also had Aunt Sal sew new covers for the cushions, in two different colours if i'm not wrong. one for everyday use and the other for Hari Raya.

now i'm in a dilemma, 'cos i've just returned from IMM with mother to help her carry back home the dish set she ordered two months ago. to my 'horror' it is covered with the english rose motif. however, i'll admit they are very nicely handcrafted porcelain pieces.

well as long as mother keeps them out of my sight for the time being i won't mind. i guess i have to get used to seeing flower motifs everywhere i turn during Hari Raya.
